DDM/1A/02 outing

Last Sunday was the outing for our class. It to go for a meal with our Personal Tutor rather.
I’m supposed to meet them around 130pm to get some presents for some people, but in the end I’m late as I stayed over at Elvis’ house for mahjong session with Langston. Stayed up late and slept late which resulted in me oversleeping and in the end, met them at Bugis for a while and went straight to Marina South for steamboat. Well, it’s tiring and fun for that day because we stupidly walked from the steamboat house the Marina Bay MRT station. ==” the distance is like so freaking damn long. Oh whatever.

This outing resulted in me missing the show, High School Musical. Sigh. Anyway, recently there wasn’t much things happening besides the handing up of assignments. I’ve made great improved in my photoshop skills as my first assignment got a freaking C+ . sigh. How disappointing. Hopefully this time round I can get an A and win the competition. LOL. =X

To the KSL members, there will be an outing on 18th August 2007 (Saturday). Please contact me and tell me if you are able to make it or not.
On that day, we will meet up for dinner and then attend the fireworks display at the Marina area after that. Dinner will most probably be at the Miss Clarity Cafe located at Bugis.
Once again, I’m hope you guys can make it.

Hmm, I’ve uploaded many photos into my albums but I will load some here for you guys to view too. =) ok, i think i will do it another time. i’ve got to upload again. =\ Anyway, recently I feel lazy to update blog. heh. blog blog blog. talking about blog. LOL. oh whatever. never mind.

Break up.

Alright, I’ve temporary broke up with my girlfriend as she decided to give me some rest. haha. Today was supposed to go sentosa with YokeTing and RuTing but in the end, the plan was canceled once again due to the bad weather. Or rather this weather is kinda good to me though. But my whole idea to go to sentosa was to tan myself but without any sun, there won’t be any good result. Besides, YokeTing is sick and thus, decided to cancel the trip. Well, and now I’m rotting at home. I really feel like going out but don’t know where to go! Singapore is too small. Sigh.

Recently I’ve been really busy with my assignments and has been staying in school till quite late. Yesterday stayed till 8 plus just to hand in our video assignment. Basically our video is kinda complete and the last thing that we need to do is to have our voice over complete as in to make it more realistic and additional of music. The title of our production is.. ” oh.. my love..” and it’s a Blink Blink Production. haha. I know it’s kinda crappy but well, it’s just an assignment. haha

Before i forget, people, I’m trying to sell my brand new netgear modem router. If any of you who are interested, please contact me through email lawrencezx@gmail.com or call me at 9875**** if you know my number.

Bored bored bored. shall update again. =)

What are your thoughts after watching the 7 NDP Filmlets?

After watching the 7 NDP filmlets, I realized that there are actually many people who are proud to be Singaporeans. Besides, it shows that Singapore has created many opportunities for the citizens as people are able to setter here and make a great life out of it. These films also made me realized how fortunate it is to be a Singaporean as not many can live with prosperity in other countries such as India and Africa.

From time to time, these films has shown the thick and thin that Singapore has gone through and together with the reasons why Singaporeans will always want to stay as a Singaporean. After watching the film, they made a question which is currently hovering around in my head and I believe it will hover and remain unanswered. The question is ” What will Singapore be if there weren’t blood and sweat put in by our ancestors? ” And and, ” What will Singapore be like in the future?”

These are some practical questions which is kinda difficult to answer.

Anyway, I’m very thankful to all the ancestors who actually worked so hard for us. Without them, I doubt there will be such a prosperous nation in the present. For now, I will have to work hard for my future generation just like what our ancestors did for us. These films inspired us to work hard as not to put our ancestors’ effort to waste. It’s difficult to come by and being so developed with the latest technologies.

As a student in digital media, these films are really well taken and can be of good examples for us to work towards.

Singapore , Our homeland.

The beautiful buildings that our ancestors gave us.

The once dirty Singapore River.

Clubbing

The other day, I went out with my two sisters and this is kinda heart warming thingy. It has been a long time since we siblings went out together. It was a really tiring day though cause I met them right after school with my super duper heavy laptop although it’s just 1.8kg and the lightest as compared to all my other friends who bought the high end one. LOL. I found 1.8kg is so heavy I can’t imagine if I have gotten the high end one. =X I think I will need trolley to pull it along everywhere I go. LOL! Those who have got high end one is going to kill me. haha.

Well, back to the outing. Met my sisters at plaza Singapura where I waited for them for like almost 1 hour. haha. Actually half an hour I think but it’s still long though as they went for some don’t know what shower thingy. ==” hmm, after a little shopping we headed to Clark Quay to have our dinner where my second brother-in-law drove us there.

Had our dinner at Hooters, the kinda famous restaurant over at the States if I’m not wrong. The food there was acceptable but at the satisfactory level maybe because it’s due to what I ordered. Perhaps some other main course will be nicer. Well, the environment there suits the working class more and I doubt students would like to have a dinner there. It’s still a very good experience for me though.

After that we headed to Double O, a clubbing place where I actually smuggled myself in with my sisters and all. Haha. Well, it’s a pretty interesting place I believe the age limit given was because of the alcohol and not because of the content and the activities going on. It’s just a normal place where people drink have chats. The only difference is, there is a stage for us to dance and release stress. If there is anyone out there wanna go clubbing, ask me along as I want to go there again to dance. I went with my sisters they all and I’m too shy to dance.LOL! Well, below are some photos taken on that day. =) Enjoy.

My phototaking skill is really bad that day. =\

The restaurant

My second sister and my brother-in-law =)

Outside Double O. My photo taking skill that day is really atrocious.

Well, that’s all for my clubbing experience. Actually there are more things happened when I’m inside. But I shall not talk about it. LOL. ask me alright? =)

All those memories.

The other day, there was this Yishun Town Secondary School Fiesta and i went there with edwin, yoketing and ruting. It was held at our old campus and thus was very memorable to go back there to take a look since there are actually someone who wants to go back. =D

Their fiesta was kinda boring cause too many people and it’s kinda packed like sardines but overall, I still think that their fiesta is really interesting and a big success. As compared to our school which don’t have an of such events, it is considered a really great job by them. To date, that campus has got 3 schools held there before and 2 schools has got this kind of fund raising events and stuff. They are from Riverside Secondary School and YTSS but not CCHY, how disappointing.

I guess the reason is simply because our school is too lazy to do anything like this as it’s time consuming and a need to get all the students involved. Though the main purpose to hold such events may not be because of fund raising but it’s still good to have one which can make it a family day like event. I can see that our school will only focus on academic results then family bonding which is kinda turning the school into a nerdy school. Oh whatever it is, I’ve graduated. But someone sad is that, even for our Prom night, it has to be organized by our fellow schoolmate instead of the school teachers and staff. Sigh.

Anyway, here are photos for your flash back about the past when we were once in Sembawang campus. Prepare some tissues first if you think you will be really sad and that you will drop tears. =)

While I’m uploading the photos I shall reveal what we did during the tour in the school.
Basically we went into the school and walked rounds in the school but concentrated on the parade square and canteen. We did not go to the study blocks actually and it’s kinda sad because I believe if we were to go there, I can take photos that really remind us of what happened during the years when we were there.

Sigh, these are all the past and we’ve got to face the present world which is so complicated and something that I dreaded for. Poly life is simply too free and easy. Everything is on our own or rather I can say, it’s own time own target. I miss the nagging from teachers, the scoldings, the chase after homeworks and especially the time where we pass our homeworks around for each other to do a ‘Reference’.

Now, these are all gone and can never be found in Poly. The interval between change of lesson during secondary school time also allows us to interact and bond with each other. This is the reason why the CCHY 2006 batch is so bonded as a whole level as compared the the other juniors who are still in the school now. After listening to much stories from them, I can really feel how fortunate I am when we were in secondary.
I shall cut down on my rants about how much I miss the past.
Here are the photos taken during the trip. Enjoy.
Don’t shed too much tears yea? =)

The way to the basketball court.

I still remembered i drew a heart with an arrow on one of the tiles.

hmm, the carpark.

The canteen. This school is much fortunate as they have got vending machines. =\

Look how crowded it is. It simply show how successful it is too.

The pouch.

hmm, in front of the first cchy general office.

The path to the study block.

Viewing the parade square.

The parade square.

The first staff room block and the art rooms.

The flag poles.

Hmm,

The bookshop.

The spiral stairs with a piano below. The piano is still there.
I didn’t take picture of it though as there are people sitting on the chair.

The library.

Outside the second staff room.

This location was used to place the flag of CCHY and Riverside.

The hall which held many events. Though it’s not air conditioned.

The stage.

This place was once the place we performed and held the banner done by us.
Class banner and teachers’ day banner and etc.
I can still remember the time when we met together to do the banners.

Random side of the hall

View from outside the hall.

The path where we took the our classroom.

The overview.

Had a pool session after that.
It’s seriously a waste of money.
Just like poking the money into drains.
zzzzz

That’s all for YTSS Fiesta event. =) more coming up.
